Mobile phones will be banned in all state secondary schools in Edinburgh after the summer holidays, and the UK Government looks set to ban the use of social media for under-16s.

Dr Elizabeth Nelson (pictured), a researcher from the School of Education at the University of Glasgow, tells us why bans are not the answer.
