‘Burnham will destroy Britain!’ Liz Truss unleashes on the PM

In Wednesday’s episode of The Daily T, Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley are joined by Liz Truss, the former prime minister. They discuss Andy Burnham’s plans for a national care service and whether the changes to the triple lock will be able to fully fund them. Ms Truss is highly critical of the Bank of England and the Office for Budget Responsibility, claiming they are not independent, adding that “the state has been captured by the progressives”.

Tim asks Ms Truss whether she is embarrassed to be the example the Left gives for why not to vote for the Right, and whether she still believes she was right about her mini-Budget. Ms Truss responds: “They attack me because I’m right, they wouldn’t if I was irrelevant.”
