The story unfolding at Cornell is dismayingly familiar

NY Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed the state's attorney general, Letita James, to oversee the investigation into an alleged gang rape that took place at Cornell University in 2024. Gov. Hochul said "new information has raised serious questions about how this case was handled, and I’ve lost faith in the Tompkins County D.A.’s ability to fairly oversee it."

The story feels depressingly familiar to many women across the country. How are they living through this moment?
