One of Scotland’s most prolific crime writers Val McDermid (pictured) and Geographer Royal for Scotland Jo Sharp (also pictured) have teamed up to write about an overlooked period of Scottish history; the Darien Scheme.

They talk to Martin and Laura about why they wrote the book, their memories of the 2014 independence referendum and why they want to pay more tax.
