All the hyperscale data centres being proposed in Scotland will have to be scrutinised by ministers, the Scottish government has decided.
Some of the strongest community opposition to data centres has come from Auchtertool, where the world’s second biggest is being planned.
Martin Geissler hears from Mark Wilson, the boss of ILI Group, which is behind the project, about why Scotland needs to seize the opportunity.
