This unprecedented collaboration aims to showcase the best of documentary with the narrative power of podcasting. It has several components:
- Co-curation of podcasts: four creations have been selected to be offered to participants in the Studio, at the heart of the Documentary Market exhibition hall in La Rochelle, from June 24 to 27. They will be revealed shortly. A Podmust Award will be awarded to one of the winning podcasts in order to support and promote talented audio creations.
- Co-production and moderation of the “Podcast & doc: how to adapt?”. A round-table discussion will explore the synergies between the podcast and documentary worlds, on Wednesday June 26 at 2pm. This panel will feature Anne-Cécile Genre (journalist and director, co-author of the podcast Shame On You, winner of the Best Digital Pitch Na(rra)tive Stories award at the 2022 edition), Emma Roberts (artist, creative producer of immersive experiences), Louis Daboussy (co-founder and CCO of Paradiso Media, who recently launched Podcast to Screen, a platform that connects podcast creators with TV producers for screen adaptation) and Mélissa Bounoua (co-founder of Louie Media, podcast studio and creative agency).
This partnership embodies a shared vision of promoting innovation, fostering creative collaboration and showcasing the very best in storytelling. It also anchors the podcast in established events, consolidating its democratization.
