The 2026 Commonwealth Games open in Glasgow on Thursday 23 July, with 3,000 athletes from 74 nations competing across the city.
We ask Glasgow 2026 CEO, Phil Batty (pictured), why he believes his slimmed-down, cut-price version of the event can save it for future generations.
